SO, YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? Not us! Well, I’ll speak for myself (Santo). We are working with Alan Cormier and Luan Carnavale (lifesabead). They have been teaching for a number of years and are attempting the impossible with us. (Correction – attempting the impossible with me.) We are adding a Swing dance to our routine. They can have you dancing the lindy hop basics to the charleston kick combos in no time and their prices are very affordable. Alan hosts a great dance called “Swingin’ Sunday’s each weekend at the Leominster Elks featuring either a DJ or a live band ( really good bands, too!!) We are traveling down to the upper West side of New York City! A special guest will be performing with us, “NEMO” the sax player. You have to see this cat while he’s playing he walks around the audience like a mariachi player playing his sax. We all love good SAX! The joint we are performing at is a cool as it comes. All kinds of underground caverns and lots of brick. They have a website I would suggest for you to visit underground lounge We have decided to add to our repertoire a little dancing, sword fighting, irreverent comedy and the cheap interactive audience participation everybody knows we don’t do. We expect to fumble through and make the best of it we can. Our copy for the show is as follows….Your Theatre Company is a duo performing modern poetic conversation in burlesque and cabaret tradition. The show includes – but is not limited to – irreverent comedy, music, dancing, sword fighting, erotica and interactive games. We are happy to announce we will be interviewed on the radio June 10th around 10:00pm. Tune your radio dial to 91.7 or listen online at wmwmonline.com. Radioscotvoid is an electronica artist dj and all around producer of good things. He has asked us to come on the show and talk a little about how we are mixing electronica and spoken word. I have had the pleasure of working with him on his album, “Live at the Pickled Onion” produced while working at that bar entertaining the masses. Click here if you’d like to download the album. His latest incarnation is “SCENE” where he’s getting together chiptunists, sound collage dj’s, and experimental sound artists to put on a show in the fall of 2010 in Salem. If you have not heard him yet he plays live at the gulu gulu one Friday a month on residency.

Great News after we performed at the Squawk Coffee House

Richard Cambridge one of the bookers for club Passim and an amazing poet that has a storied history in the Boston poetry scene around New England. Richard gave us the opportunity to perform at Club Passim Harvard Square in the spring of 2010. We also booked a show June 17th of this year at corner stone books in salem Ma. We’ll be sending out information, time, directions to the cornerstone books performance soon.
